Spring is finally here

Spring has arrived at Galey Farms, and the fields are coming to life. We’re ploughing, planting, and watering as another busy growing season begins. Rob Galey is already hard at work preparing the land, continuing our commitment to producing fresh, local food for Vancouver Island families and communities throughout the season ahead..

Spring Prep at Galey Farms

We are busy in the fields

Rob Galey and his dad are hard at work in the strawberry fields as the season gets underway at Galey Farms. Side by side among the rows, they’re tending the plants and preparing for another successful harvest. Their hands-on dedication helps bring fresh, local strawberries to Vancouver Island families every summer.

Galey Farms Blenkinsop market before the crash

Yes, the old market is gone…

The Galey Farms Market has long been a familiar stop for local families and visitors. After an accident last year forced the market building to close, many wondered if it would return. We’re happy to share that the market is expected to reopen at the end of May 2026, weather permitting, for another busy season ahead.
