Howard the Gnome

Guiness Book of World Records tallest gnome, Howard, is known to most Vancouver Island residents. He was a familiar landmark beside the highway near Nanoose Bay.

Howard was built in 1998 by the Hale family and they chose Galey Farms to be his new home in 2019.
